|Recurring Event (See all)
Weekly on the same day

Research shows that 87% of our illnesses can be attributed to our thought life. Studies conclusively link more chronic diseases (also known as lifestyle diseases) to an epidemic of toxic emotions. The average person has over 30,000 thoughts a day. Through an uncontrolled thought life, we can create conditions for illness; we make ourselves sick! Research shows that fear, all on its own, triggers more than 1,400 known physical and chemical responses and activates more than 30 different hormones. There are intellectual and medical reasons to forgive! Toxic waste generated by toxic thoughts causes the following illnesses: diabetes, cancer, asthma, skin problems, and allergies, to name just a few. Consciously control your thought life, and start to detox your brain! Change in your thinking is essential to detox the brain. Consciously controlling your thought life means not letting thoughts rampage through your mind. It means learning to engage interactively with every single thought that you have, and to analyze it before you decide either to accept it or reject it. This series includes toxic thoughts and its danger. It also includes a proven method of how to use the Mind of Christ to train your brain. This has been applied to build brains after brain injury, dealing with learning problems or emotional issues, or to improve academics. Research has shown this process to make 75% improvement academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and intellectual function. With some cases having almost 200% improvement. Substantially improve your spirit, soul, and body once you embrace the Brain Train.

*Sanctuary Reopen

Great Smyrna is reopening the Sanctuary on June 7, 11:00am worship service ONLY.  Please use the front door as all other doors should be locked.  For those who desire the comfort of wearing masks (may include bandanas, or other similar face coverings) and gloves (may include latex gloves, kitchen gloves, etc…) –  it will be important to note that everyone is expected to bring their own as they will not be provided.  For all service team members please remember to bring your own mask and gloves.

Also, while in prayer it came up to make certain that people who have cloth masks and who would like to have them prayed over and anointed (Acts 19:12) to feel free to bring them.  Before service, bring the cloth and place it on the pew next to the Healing class but closest to the pulpit where the deacons sit during Communion.  Feel free to pick it up after service once it has been prayed for.
