Light To The Open Door – Part 3 – Struck With A Fatal Blow And Still Would Not Let Go

Light To The Open Door – Part 3 – Struck With A Fatal Blow And Still Would Not Let Go

Two Soldiers Two Chains

In Acts 12:6 “And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.” From this scripture, we see Peter is in the midst of two soldiers and two chains and the soldiers think that Peter’s life is coming to an end, which represents a finality that is to take place. Satan is allowed and will be used to bring some things to finality in this season. Things that have been in people’s lives will soon be over as transition is here. This is the last year that certain things will be allowed to take place.

Peter is in the innermost part of the prison. He is down in the depths of the darkness of Satan. Peter has four quaternion of soldiers that are keeping guard over him as he is in the innermost portion of the prison. Not only that, but he has two soldiers chained each to both his left and right hands. Peter is in the midst of the darkest place that a person could be, and in the midst of this dark time, he is asleep.

Peter is under much demonic attack and oppression, but in the midst of it all he is sleeping, which means he’s in faith. With faith and prayer, there is hope. Notice, that there are two chains and two soldiers. This represents a double portion of demonic oppression. The scripture says that the chains bound his two hands. The things that Satan has kept you from and the things that Satan has taken from you are the result of a double portion of supernatural demonic oppression. This is symbolic of places where Satan has paralyzed you so that you could not use your hands to minister the good news of the gospel. In places where you have experienced regression as a result of Satan’s demonic oppression, it can change.

Double Down Turn Around

In the midst of all the oppression that the enemy has intended against you, God is turning it around. In the midst of Satan’s demonic double down, God is in the process of turning it around. God is in process of making a switch in the situation. It is this Word, which is the light, that God plans to use to bring things to a different position. A position of down is moving to the position of turn around.

Since it can be seen that there is this type of demonic oppression, it should be noted that God has in store even more deliverance to offset that oppression. There is more power available for deliverance this year than ever seen before. Spectacular healings and miracles are to be experienced ever seen up to this point.

Many of the things that you will see this year will be the result of being in the right place. For example, expect many healings at Great Smyrna Church. These healings and miracles may not take place in other churches, but it will take place in Great Smyrna Church. The Lord ordains specific things in specific locations and it’s necessary to follow his leading to receive those things.

Relationships Moving Right

Relationships based in demonic oppression are to move right by being severed. Harmful relationships where Satan has bound people to death are to be broken. Those relationships that are doing damage will be destroyed and the bonds of those relationships become severed. In the same way there were chains or destructive relationships between Peter and the Roman soldiers broken and severed. There are destructive relationships that come to light in people’s lives that become severed. Relationships begin moving right with the light.

Peter was bound to two Roman soldiers and expected to die the next day, but after Peter leaves it is going to be the Roman soldiers that die the next day. Because the soldiers allowed Peter to go free, they must take his place of death. A tremendous lesson here is those who condemn others are themselves condemned. The soldiers are going to pay the ultimate price with their life because of not keeping Peter in prison.

Right Awakening

“And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.” (Acts 12:7)

The light is the angel, but it is also the Word of God. In this verse of scripture, we see the angel strike Peter on the side but it can also be said that the light struck Peter on the side.  The light and the angel are the same just as the light and the Word of God are the same. The Lord is planning to place some things in front of people through the light and there is smiting to take place. There are to be some light licks administered.  Light licks are revelations that the light of the Word of God brings to people this year suddenly to bring them to the open door.

These light licks that come suddenly from the Lord may be received as a right awakening. A right awakening is where a person is awakened very suddenly, quickly, hurriedly, and not in a pleasant way. It is not a very nice way to be awakened. These right awakenings are not intended to harm but to help. It is encouraging to know that these right awakenings are for things that people need to change to help bring them to the open door of opportunity and life. Even though, these awakenings may not be pretty, but they are necessary. The right awakenings are intended to save lives and bring prosperity.

Do Not Become Offended

In the midst of a rude awakening, do not become offended. Should the thing God is calling you to do look too big, overwhelming, magnificent, do not become offended. Do not become offended because He is not expecting you to do it but to believe Him for it. As you trust Him for it, God brings it to pass.

People who do receive a rude awakening are subject to respond with a terrible attitude. Their attitude can be disrespectful, sassy, and unbecoming. This type of attitude is not willing and obedient (Isaiah 1:19) and keeps a person’s faith from working. A beautiful example of this is Jesus, who is the light of the world, and those in His hometown who took offense at Him.

In Mark Chapter 6, we see where Jesus, who is the light, came into Nazareth to minister to His hometown people. Jesus is the light and He came in to help the people in his hometown of Nazareth and the scripture says ‘And they were offended at him’ (Acts 6:3). Next, it shares that once they were offended at him that there He could do no mighty works (Acts 6:5). In the midst of being offended at the light, Jesus was not able to minister any miracles or mighty works in His hometown.

Saying

In Acts 12:7, the angel struck Peter on the side and raised him up, but look at the way the scripture says that Peter was raised up quickly. It was the saying that raised him up. Our saying is to help us get up. Saying is moving us up. It is saying that is to keep the curse of Satan away and the blessing of God coming everyday.

In the midst of oppression, darkness, and hurtful things that Peter endured, it all changed at the saying of the Lord. It was the Word ‘Arise up quickly’ that made the chains fall off his hands. What held him back before is not holding him back now because of what came by the Word. It came through the light of the word. It was the saying of the Lord that made the chains lose their demonic gains.

Jacob Started With Receiving The Blessing Through Trickery But He Finished With Believing And Victory

In Acts 12:7 where the angel touch Peter and gave him a rude awakening, there is another account of an angel touching Jacob where we can gain revelation to this light that leads to the open door. The story of Jacob where he wrestled with the angel teaches a very valuable lesson. Jacob was originally known as the deceiver, the supplanter, the trickster. We can see that Jacob started with receiving the blessing through trickery but he finished with believing and victory.

In Genesis 32: 25 it says ‘And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.” We see Jacob wrestle with the angel and the scripture says that the angel touched the hollow of his thigh. This is significant.  Jacob is fighting with the angel. In the fight between Jacob and the angel, Jacobs femur bone, which is the bone between the knee and the hip joint, was dislocated.

Struck With A Fatal Blow And Still Would Not Let Go

This is significant because the Jewish sages share that any type of strike in the hip area is a fatal blow. The hip and waist area, which includes the groin, is considered by the Jewish sages the area of posterity, future, and destiny. This is the area of power including one’s pro-creative power. This is why if anyone should receive a fatal blow in this area it is considered very significant. The angel touched Jacob’s hip and it dislodged making this a fatal blow. What is important to note is what Jacob did next after receiving a fatal blow.

Jacob has been struck with a fatal blow Jacob and he still would not let go. This symbolized the tenacity with which he held to the Word of God. The relentlessness in which he held to the Word, which God shared with him, and would not let that Word go. This is similar to how Satan intended to deliver a fatal blow to Peter but Peter would not let go.

In Genesis 32:32 it says ‘Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh in the sinew that shrank.’ The scripture says that he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh in the sinew that it shrank. The Jewish sages share the meaning of this to be that ‘it springs out of its place and rose.’ In comparing this to Peter when the angel touched him and said to him ‘arise up quickly’, it can be seen that these two accounts say the same thing. The two touched by an angel accounts allow us to see supernatural double portion of rising above the circumstances. For those who yield to the light of the Word and act on that Word, those people should prepare to rise up quickly. These people are to be delivered and advanced quickly.

It’s Gone – Turn Your Head Away And Then Back Again To See That It’s Full Grown

In the midst of tremendous oppression, people have the opportunity to be delivered quickly. Don’t be surprised if you look at something and think it’s gone and then turn your head away and then back again to see that it’s full grown. According to Amos 9:13, it was brought to full maturity immediately.

In Genesis 32: 31 the scripture says ‘ And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.’ In the scripture it says the sun rose upon him. This is cross-referenced with Malachi chapter 4: 2 where that verse of scripture says that the ‘But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.’ The Sun of righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. The ‘sun’ in Genesis 32:3 is talking about the Son of God. This is significant because this is referring to Jesus, who is the Sun of Righteousness our healer.

In this verse, we see Jacob did limp, but the scripture helps us to understand that the sun rose upon him. The Sun it is referring to is the Sun of Righteousness that has healing in His wings. The Jewish sages help us understand in this verse that the Lord healed Jacob after he became Israel. It is the Sun Of Righteousness that healed his hip. And, light from the Sun opened the door for Jacob to become Israel and have victory to quickly come.
